Progress (TBD)

Drones Built and Used

Tarot 650 Iron Man (Full Build)
DJI Phantom 4 (Modified for Delivery)
DJI Mavic 2 Pro (Modified for Surveillance)
DJI Tello Ryze (Experimental for Software)

Modifications

Using the 3D printer technology, our team constructed a box, a box opener, and a dropping model attached to a parachute to simulate the possible autonomous delivery drone that our team aspire to develop throughout our several projects, such as Flight School and others. The box was attached under the drone, and the box opener, which enables the box to drop the model or the object safely from the sky, is controlled by the drone controller.

Fundraisers

Garage Sales and Donations

In Irvine, our team gathered multiple resources and sold them at the local garage sale to raise funds for our first drone from DJI Innovations. Coupled with sponsorship from the World Dream Initiative, ODI was able to gain enough momentum to reach four drones as of right now.

Test Flights

As of right now, we are manually operating our drones to test the external modifications of the drone. Even in the roughest terrains, our drones have proven successful even under difficult terrains and climates.

Future Goals

Our technology experts are currently experimenting with DJI Phantom 3 to research about aspects, such as the structure and the control of the drone, and to discover the potential usage of the drones to improve the lifestyle of Paraguayan people, who will be our main target for this project.
